I understand that anything I write now opens me up to criticism, contradiction and mockery (mainly mockery) now and in the future. Submitting anything that I haven’t perfectly scripted or considered all the possible implications of is normally daunting enough for me. Committing these thoughts to the public, historical repository of the internet can just paralyze any possible action. What if I’m wrong? What if I’m judged to be crap?
But overall, I know those thoughts aren’t helpful. I can’t expect to make any sort of positive change in the world if I can’t even commit my thoughts to share on the web. I start with the hope that being publicly more honest with myself can help direct my life to where I want it to go.”
